Slouchy Hat

While the clogs are well on there way to being finished up and felted, I managed to fit in this cute little slouchy hat as well.
I would have had it finished within two days, but just as I was one row from finishing it I tried it on and it was to small. I just knew that there was no way it would close, I guess I have a bigger head then I thought. So with great dismay (mostly because I was excited to wear the dang thing) I took it off the needles and ripped out about 14 rows. I finished the next evening and have been wearing it most of the week (in fact, I'm wearing it right now).
The pattern is from knitsational which is one of my favorite shops on Etsy, such cute stuff there! The pattern also includes a rose to go on the hat, but I think when I get around to making it I will make it a brooch. I currently have a major obsession for brooches, especially one that are good and sparkly or handmade.

I'd love to make another one of these, maybe in the turquoise I got from my MBOY.

Thank you so much for your sweet comments! Your hat looks great and I agree, the rose makes a lovely brooch. I make them with a couple of curly leaves. If you would like the pattern for them Just let me know. I'm woring on one as we speak and would be happy to jot it down for you, they're super quick and easy.
